How agency-sourced candidates work

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This is the payoff for working through Vouch rather than a spreadsheet: the sourcing you do for a client doesn't evaporate when the search closes — it accrues to your agency.

When an agency user sources a candidate through a channel they created:

  • The candidate is linked to the agency's channel, not the client's default channels.
  • The candidate appears in the agency's talent pool — searchable and resurfaceable for future clients.
  • On the client's pipeline, the candidate's source shows which agency channel brought them in.

This means your sourcing work compounds over time: every candidate you place builds your talent pool for future assignments.

Why channels matter here

Attribution is what makes the whole model work, and it hinges on which link you share. A candidate only links to your agency when they come in through a channel you created — so always share the channel's tracking link, never a client's raw job URL. Share the raw link and the candidate isn't attributed to you, and won't land in your talent pool.

Resurfacing for the next client

Because every sourced candidate sits in your agency talent pool, your second search for a client starts ahead of your first. Vouch can Resurface candidates from your talent pool — matching people you already know against a new role. Resurfacing reads against a role's candidate scorecard, so define the scorecard on the new listing first; until you do, you'll see a prompt to define your candidate scorecard to start resurfacing candidates from your pool. See Candidates & pipeline for the full talent-pool and resurfacing workflow.

Good to know. The talent pool is the agency's compounding asset — and it's also gated: AI-assisted talent-pool search runs on the same usage credits as the rest of the Assistant. If you've used up the period's credits, talent-pool searches pause until the next period or a top-up. See Billing & subscription for how usage works.
