Invite a teammate

Where: Settings → Access → Add a new user button (top right).

Modal title: "Invite a colleague to [company name]"

"Invite a colleague to help manage your company. They will have access to all job posts and company settings."

Use this when you're adding someone to the whole company — a co-founder, a recruiter who works across every search, or an operations lead. The level you choose here decides how much they see, so pick before you send.

How to invite

  • Enter their email. They receive an invite email at this address; access switches on once they accept it.
  • Choose the level of access. Owner and Admin are company-wide and cover every job automatically. Editor is per-job — choosing it reveals the job picker described next.
  • If you picked Editor, tick the jobs. A Jobs with access list appears; select every job this person should work on. At least one is required.
  • Send the invitation.

Level of accessOwner / Admin / Editor (select Editor to pick specific jobs)

If you select Editor, a Jobs with access list appears. Tick the jobs this person should see. At least one job is required.

Click Send invitation to send. The confirmation toast depends on the level you picked: inviting an Owner or Admin shows "Successfully invited [email] to the company.", while selecting Editor shows "Successfully invited [email] to the listing."

Inviting from a job's own settings automatically pre-assigns that job — the modal title becomes "Invite a colleague to this job post ([title])", and the visible job-picker list does not appear in this per-job invite modal.

Good to know. This company-level modal offers Owner, Admin, and Editor — there's no Observer option here. Observer is a view-and-comment, per-job level; grant it from the job you want the person to watch (see Invite someone to a specific job). Choose Admin rather than Owner unless the person should also control billing — you can always promote them later from Edit a user's role.

Troubleshooting

"You must select at least one job." You chose Editor but left the Jobs with access list empty. An Editor must be scoped to at least one job — tick one (or more) and send again. If the person genuinely needs every job, invite them as an Admin instead.

The invite went out but they still can't see anything. Access turns on when the recipient accepts the email invite, not the moment you send it. Ask them to open the invitation; if it never arrived, double-check the address for a typo and re-invite.
