Remove a user

Where: Settings → Access → Users tab.

Off-boarding is fast, and it's the same screen you used to add people — handy when someone changes teams or leaves and you want their access gone before the day is out.

Removing access also depends on the column:

  • Editors and Observers (right column): hover over the user row and click the delete icon.
  • Owners and Admins (left column): use the inline role dropdown and choose "Delete role".

Either way, the user's access is removed — they can no longer see the company or any of its jobs. Either action confirms with a "Successfully deleted role" toast — the same one fires whether you remove a company-wide role or a per-job Editor/Observer.

Good to know. Removing access here revokes this person's access to your company; it does not delete their personal Vouch account, which only they can do from their own account (as the Access Management page copy states). Removing a company-wide user pulls them off every job at once, since their access was company-wide to begin with — there's no per-job cleanup to do afterwards.

Troubleshooting

Can't find someone to remove? Search by email at the top of the Users tab. Remember the two columns: a company-wide person (Owner/Admin) is in the left column and is removed via the dropdown's "Delete role"; a per-job person (Editor/Observer) is in the right column, grouped under each job, and is removed with the delete icon. If they only show under one job, removing them there removes them from that job — expand the other jobs to check whether they have access elsewhere.
