Vouch uses artificial intelligence and machine learning for matching candidates with jobs, ranking applications, and supporting recruitment workflows. These processes are automated, but all final hiring decisions are made by humans. Automated ranking does not have legal or similarly significant effects for users. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

As an applicant, when you apply for a job on the Vouch Platform—whether directly on vouch.careers or through a company using Vouch—an account will automatically be created for you using your email address. You will receive an email invitation to log in and access your account.
By applying, you consent to this automatic account creation and to your application data being shared with the relevant employer. Through your Vouch account, you can manage your data, edit or supplement your information, withdraw your application, or request deletion at any time—removing your data from both Vouch and the employer’s view. You do not need to contact the employer directly to exercise your rights. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
If you are referred to a position by another user, you’ll get a link by email or SMS from Vouch or the Referrer. The landing page will make it clear you’ve been referred for a specific role and invite you to create a user account and express your interest. By doing so, you agree that your contact details and profile will be shared with the employer.
To move forward as a referred candidate, you need to complete all steps on the landing page within 60 days. If you don’t respond within this period or choose not to participate, your personal data will be deleted and you won’t be considered for the role.
As a referred candidate, you have the same rights as direct applicants regarding your data and the recruitment process. You can also choose to be considered for other roles via Vouch. For full details on how we handle your data and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
If you apply to the job first (either through Vouch or elsewhere), and are not referred, no referral reward will be paid on hire—even if you later request a referral to strengthen your profile.
Referrals and rewards are optional features for users who choose to refer others. Most candidates apply directly or are matched via AI
These terms apply if a company has enabled referrals and promised a reward.
By Referring a Candidate, the Referrer, under certain conditions, may be entitled to a Reward. In connection with the processing of Referrals and payment of Reward, Vouch will process personal data to fulfill the User Terms. You can read more about Vouch's processing of personal data here.
For the Referrer to receive a Reward for Referring a Candidate to a job position, the following conditions must be met:
The Referrer's information about the Candidate is correct and given in good faith,
The Candidate has not applied to the Job before being referred,
The Candidate has not requested a Referral/Reference to an Application through Vouch,
The Candidate registers a user account on or has a valid user account on the Vouch Platform,
The Candidate consents to proceed in the Candidate Process with the Job Advertiser within 60 days after the Referral was received by Vouch,
The Job Advertiser hires the Candidate after and because of the Referral from the Referrer, determined based on technical traceability on the Vouch Platform,
The Candidate completes their 1-6 first months of work with the Job Advertiser, depending on the terms set by the Job Advertiser,
The Referral from the Referrer meets the conditions, under 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, and 4.6,
The Referrer and Candidate have a valid user account on the Vouch Platform until the Candidate has completed their 1-6 first month of work with the Job Advertiser, and
The Referrer and Candidate do not breach these User Terms.
The principle of "first come, first served" applies to all Referrals.
This means that the Referrer who first had their Referral accepted by the Candidate for a job position is the one who is entitled to the Reward, provided that the Candidate is not already in a Candidate Process or is in a job-seeking process with the Job Advertiser, and that other conditions for the payment of the Reward are met. Below are some examples that clarify how the principle of "first come, first served" works:
Where several Referrers have Referred the same Candidate for the same job position through the Vouch Platform: The one who had the Referral accepted by the Candidate first is entitled to the Reward.
If the job position seeks and hires more than one Candidate: The one or those who had the Referral accepted by the Candidate first are the one or those who are entitled to the Reward.
Where the Candidate themselves have applied, or are already in a Candidate Process, and the same Candidate is also Referred by a Referrer: If the Candidate accepts a Referral after the Candidate themselves applied or started the Candidate Process, the Referrer is not entitled to a Reward.
Processes outside the Vouch Platform: If the Candidate is already in a job-seeking process outside the Vouch Platform with the Job Advertiser when the Candidate accepts a Referral from a Referrer, the Referrer is not entitled to a Reward.
Vouch is based on Referrers Referring people in their network for job positions. The Vouch Service, however, accepts Referrers who Refer themselves as Candidates for job positions on the Vouch Platform.
If this is done, the Referrer accepts that they do not qualify for the payment of a Reward.
Vouch utilises technical traceability to determine who and when a Candidate has been Referred and the Referral has been accepted. It is this technical traceability that determines if the Candidate has been hired due to and based on a tip from a Referrer.
Payment of the reward will be initiated as soon as possible after Vouch has confirmed that the Candidate has completed their first 1–6 months of employment with the Job Poster, depending on the guidelines set by the Job Poster.
The Reward is typically paid out during the calendar month following Vouch's receipt of this confirmation and will be processed according to the payment details provided by the Referrer. Vouch will inform the Referrer if any circumstances arise that delay the payment.
Referral rewards are only payable if and when the hiring company has funded the reward to Vouch. Vouch does not guarantee payment if the company fails to provide funds, or if there is any suspicion of fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms. Vouch reserves the right to request additional information to comply with legal requirements, and may withhold or cancel rewards if such information is not provided or if payment would violate any law.
If the Candidate never has their first working day or does not complete the month 1-6 (dependent on job specific terms) with the Job Advertiser, this will be considered as the Candidate not being hired. In such cases, the Referrer is not entitled to the Reward.
Rewards are as a a general rule processed through established payment providers (such as PayPal, Wise, or Trolley). Vouch will communicate the specific payment provider and requirements when you become eligible for payment.
To receive rewards, you must complete the payment provider's verification process and comply with their requirements. Vouch may change payment providers at any time, and you must use the current designated payment provider to receive your rewards. Failure to complete the required verification steps or use the designated payment provider may delay or forfeit your reward payment.
The payment covered by this agreement is intended as a reward for referring a candidate who, after a recruitment process, was hired by the Job Advertiser.
The parties agree that this payment does not establish any employment or contractual relationship between any of the parties.
The payer, Vouch AS, will not withhold taxes or report the amount to tax authorities; the recipient is solely responsible for reporting in accordance with applicable regulations.
The recipient understands and accepts the following:
Any remaining tax liability or other obligations related to the amount is the sole responsibility of the recipient.
Vouch AS disclaims all responsibility for consequences arising if the recipient fails to fulfil their tax or reporting obligations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Exceptions apply to Norwegian citizens, for whom Vouch AS will withhold taxes and report the amount to tax authorities via the a-melding as other income, in compliance with applicable regulations. Vouch AS is not responsible for additional reporting or tax obligations beyond withholding taxes and reporting the amount via the a-melding.
By entering into this agreement and receiving the reward, the recipient confirms that they:
Are aware of their reporting and tax obligations.
Fully accept responsibility for any additional tax liabilities or obligations related to the amount.
Company users can post job openings, manage candidates, schedule interviews, and use AI-powered tools to streamline their recruitment process. Companies are responsible for ensuring that their use of the platform and all data processing complies with applicable laws and these User Terms.
Companies must ensure that only authorized representatives access their accounts and that all information posted is accurate and lawful. Vouch may suspend or terminate company accounts in case of misuse or violation of these terms.
Additional terms and obligations for company users will be set out in a separate company agreement.
