Create a new job position
Last updated: June 19, 2026
A job position is the container for one role. You don't need to fill it all in up front — name it, and you can scope, write, and configure it in any order before you publish.
When to use it. Every new search starts here: a new req opens, you're refilling a role you hired for before, or you're spinning up a near-identical listing for a different team.
Where: open your company → Listings → New job position.
How to start
If you don't have any jobs yet, you go straight to naming the role. Otherwise you first choose how to start (modal title: New job position, "Create a new position from scratch or copy from an existing one."):
- Create from scratch — "Add job title and set up content later."
- Clone from another position — "Copy job content, stages, questions, or scorecard from an existing listing."
Create from scratch
- Enter a Job title.
- If your account uses sub-companies/clients, pick the Client.
- Choose Create.
You land on Edit candidate scorecard — the start of scoping the job.
Good to know. If a similar role already lives in Vouch, cloning is almost always faster than starting blank — you inherit a working scorecard, stages, and questions and just tweak what's different. See Clone a job position.
