Evaluate a candidate against a job (from the talent pool)

Last updated: June 19, 2026

Where: company → Candidates → select one or more candidates → Evaluate candidates.

Your talent pool is full of people you've already met — past applicants, sourced profiles, silver-medalists. When a new role opens, this is how you ask "who in here already fits?" without re-sourcing from scratch. It runs an AI evaluation of pool candidates against a specific job (or Smart search query), without moving them into the pipeline first. A modal opens:

  1. Choose Job post or Smart search query.
  2. Select the specific listing or saved query.
  3. Choose Evaluate candidate (or Evaluate candidates for multiple).

The toast confirms: "Candidate evaluation started" or "Started evaluation for N candidate(s)." This consumes 1 token per candidate.

Up to 100 candidates can be evaluated at a time. If a candidate already has an evaluation for the selected job, you'll see a View evaluation results button instead.

Good to know. Evaluating against a Smart search query is the move when you don't have a live job yet — score the pool against the profile you're hunting for and see who surfaces. Once a candidate scores well, you can pull them into the pipeline from their match. See Accept or dismiss a match (talent pool).

Troubleshooting

**Saw a View evaluation results button instead of Evaluate?** That candidate already has an evaluation for this job — opening the results is free, and you don't re-spend a token to view it. Only re-run if the profile has changed substantially (and see Rerun the AI summary, which doesn't cost a token).

Selected more than 100? Evaluation runs in batches of up to 100 at a time — split a larger list and run it across a couple of passes.
