Configure your notification channels

Last updated: June 19, 2026

Once you know what can notify you, this is how you route each one. The same event can reach you in-app, by email, in Slack, or any combination — pick per row, or flip whole columns at once.

Each row in the settings table has checkboxes for In-app, Email, and (if connected) Slack. Column headers have All on / All off toggles for bulk changes.

At the top of the page, Enable all and Disable all buttons apply to all visible channels at once.

Save your changes with the Save button (top right).

A channel-by-channel rule of thumb

  • In-app — safe to leave on broadly; it's the quietest channel and it's where the Notification Center lives.
  • Email — best for things you act on outside Vouch or want a paper trail of (digests, tagged comments, completed searches). Note New messages has no email option — replies live in Vouch.
  • Slack — best for shared visibility, so a team channel sees new candidates or stage moves without anyone opening Vouch. The Slack column only appears once a workspace is connected; see Slack integration.

Good to know. Getting too many emails is the most common complaint and the easiest fix: use the Email column's All off toggle to silence the channel in one click, then turn back on just the one or two rows you truly want in your inbox (most people keep Tagged comments and Daily digest). You don't have to choose between "everything" and "nothing."

Troubleshooting

No Slack column? Slack isn't connected for your company yet. Connect a workspace first (see Slack integration); the column appears automatically afterward.

Changes didn't take? This page doesn't autosave — confirm with the Save button at the top right. If a teammate says their notifications differ from yours, that's expected: settings are per person.
