Notification types: what triggers what

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This is the master switchboard: every kind of notification Vouch can send, and which of the three channels it can use. Start here when you're getting too much (turn channels off) or missing something (turn a channel on).

Where: company SettingsNotifications.

The settings page is personal — each team member has their own settings for the company. Your choices never change what your teammates receive, so tune it to your own role without worrying about the rest of the team.

A few worth calling out:

  • Tagged comments vs New commentsTagged fires only when someone @mentions you, so it's the one to keep on even if you mute general comment noise.
  • Daily digest is a once-a-day roundup; it has no in-app row because it's a summary email / Slack message, not a live alert. It's the gentlest setting if live notifications feel like too much.
  • Pre-interview and Post-interview nudge are timed reminders, not instant events — their timing is configurable. See Notification timing: nudge intervals.
  • Candidate flow changed and New candidates for review are gated per job. The row here is the on/off master switch; which jobs trigger it is set under Job post subscriptions.

Credits notifications (Owner / Admin only)

Notification typeIn-appEmailSlack
Token at threshold
Tokens gone

These warn you before the Assistant's credits run out, so sourcing and screening don't stall mid-search.

Owners and Admins can also Edit notification threshold — set the % of credits consumed that triggers the threshold alert. Thresholds apply for all users in the company.

Good to know. Unlike the rest of this page, the credit threshold is not personal — it "updates the notification threshold for all admins and owners in the company." Set it to a number that gives whoever tops up enough runway to act before Tokens gone. For what credits are and how to top up, see Billing & credits. Owner/Admin roles are explained in Team, roles & access.
