Resurface candidates from your talent pool
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Where: a job → Candidates → Resurface.
The best candidate for a job is often someone you already met. Resurfacing turns your pool into a source for this role: it scans everyone you've saved, scores them against the job's scorecard, and hands you the matches — so you mine what you already have before you go sourcing from scratch.
Resurfacing scans your talent pool for candidates who match this job and surfaces them so you can bring them back into the process. Choose Start resurfacing to search ("Searching through your talent pool…"); matches appear under Matches from candidate pool, scored against the job's scorecard.
Before you start
Resurfacing relies on your job's qualifiers (scorecard) — if they aren't set up yet, you'll be prompted to Set up qualifiers to resurface candidates effectively. The scorecard is what resurfacing matches against, so a job with no qualifiers has nothing to rank people by. See Set up the candidate scorecard.
Good to know. Resurfacing reads the same pool Smart search does — so the more candidates you save (and the better they're tagged), the richer every resurface gets. A good scorecard plus a deep pool is what makes a strong match appear instead of a thin one.
