@mention a teammate in a comment
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Tagging is how you turn a note into a conversation — it pulls the right colleague into the thread and keeps them in the loop on that candidate from then on, instead of you having to chase them in chat.
Type @ in a comment to tag a colleague. Pick them from the list that appears — or, if they're not on your team yet, choose Invite a new user to bring them into Vouch on the spot.
When you tag someone, they're notified ("You are tagged in a comment about {name}") and are subscribed to that candidate's updates, so they'll see replies and activity. You control how those alerts reach you (in-app, email, Slack) in Notifications.
Good to know. Because a mention also subscribes the person to the candidate, it's the simplest way to share ownership — tag the hiring manager once and they'll follow the thread without anyone setting up a formal handoff.
