Manually add a candidate to a job
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Where: a job → Candidates → the Candidate button (top right).
Sometimes a candidate skips the front door — a hiring manager forwards a name, you meet someone at an event, or you're moving an active candidate over from elsewhere. This adds them straight into this job's pipeline, no referral or application required.
This opens the Manually add candidate panel, where you enter the candidate's details to add them directly to this job's pipeline (no referral or application needed). They start at the beginning of your stages, ready to work like any other candidate.
How they got here is recorded. On a candidate card you'll see how they entered the job — Applied, Referred, or Manually Added — along with the number of vouches/references and when they came in. That origin stays with them, so later you can tell a sourced add from an inbound application at a glance.
Pool vs. pipeline, again. This puts someone into one job. To save a person to your company-wide pool without attaching them to a job, use Add candidates to your talent pool instead.
